International Women’s Day – Canadian Harambee Education Society
Crave Kitchen & Wine Bar
Wilma and David Wessel
Canadian Harambee Education Society Bursary

The Canadian Harambee Education Society (CHES) is a non-profit organization which subsidizes the education of girls in Kenya and Tanzania.  Since its start, CHES has subsidized the education of several thousands of girls.  Many have gone on to professional careers in medicine, research, accounting, education, engineering, technical and trades.  Each year, BPW Regina has sponsored a girl for a full year in the Harambee program.  Wilma and David were on hand this year in Africa during the selection process.  They will be sharing with us how the girls are chosen from the hundreds of applicants and the power of this program.

WE REGRET that this EVENT WAS POSTPONED due to concerns related to the Covid-19 pandemic.  We hope to host another event featuring information on the CHES at a later time.
